Two-plate molds (2 PLATE MOLD): Two-plate molds are also known as single-parting-face molds. They divide the entire mold into two parts by the parting surface: the moving mold and the fixed mold. One part of the cavity is in the moving mold; the other part is in the fixed mold. The main flow channel is in the fixed mold; the分流道 is set on the parting surface. After opening the mold， the product and the flow channel remain in the moving mold. The moving mold part is equipped with a ejection system. 2. Three-plate molds or pin-point gate molds (3 PLATE MOLD， PIN-POINT GATE MOLD)： There are two parting surfaces that divide the mold into three parts. It adds a gate plate compared to two-plate molds， suitable for occasions where there should not be any gate marks on the product's periphery. This mold uses a point gate， so it is called a fine gate mold. This mold structure is more complex. The starting power is driven by screws or pulling plates. 3. Hot runner molds (HOT RUNNER MANIFOLD)： With the help of heating devices， the plastic in the injection system does not solidify and does not separate from the product when it is demolded， so it is also called a no-flow channel mold. Advantages： 1) No waste 2) Can reduce injection pressure， can use multi-cavity molds 3) Can shorten the molding cycle 4) Improves product quality. Suitable for the characteristics of hot runner mold plastics： 1) The melting temperature range of plastics is wide. At low temperatures， the流动性 is good； at high temperatures， it has good thermal stability. 2) Sensitive to pressure. It does not flow without pressure， but flows when pressure is applied. 3) Has a small specific heat， is easy to melt， and is easy to cool. 4) Good heat conductivity， so it can cool quickly in the mold. Plastics that can use hot runner molds include： PE， PE， ABS， POM， PC， HIPS.
